Can't remember how many Filipino restaurant at KK. The first time i try the Filipino Cuisine, that was few year back at Jalan Lintas.( Can't remember the restaurant name, but the restaurant close down already).

MASARAP at Lintas just open before CNY, since hubby and I don't know where should we have our dinner, so we decided to try out Filipino Cuisine. First impression when i step into this restaurant is that, WOW...nice environment,nice design.

Finally, i got change to take photo of my favorite Korean Restaurant located at Wisma Merdeka 2ND Floor. Is just a very small Korean Restaurant with half shop lot and less than 10 table. Because of the small shop lot, you can't even get a change to take lunch during weekday at this Restaurant.

Like & Dislike trip to Kudat

One thing that I like Kudat because I eat seafood with a cheap price. As usual, after visiting the dealer, we have lunch at Kudat Golf Club.

I didn't bring camera, so no photos to show in this blog. We ordered 5 big dishes- Ikan goreng putih (my favourite), butter prawn, Sayur Manis, Corn Soup & ginger Scallop, only RM90+++ Cheap Cheap Cheap right?

Thing that I dislike going Kudat is the 3 hours drive, spent 6 hours in car....dammm bored when you drive alone. I have to keep SLAP my face (like orang gila) on the way back to keep myself awake....expecially the weather is so HOT today, make me feel more sleepy.....and keep SLAP SLAP SLAP SLAP myself...

Guess what, now I got fever, flu & sore throat.....

11.1.2010 is hubby and my 7th anniversary. I don't expect he Will send flower to me to my office in the afternoon. The last i received his flower that was 4 yrs ago. and after 4 yrs, i received a flower from same florist, same place (my office).

a little bit surprise when i received a flower plus a little bit disappointed, because i don't like red rose. anyway, i still SMS and say thank to my hubby. he immediately call me. I ask " why you send me flower" hubby" coz you want the flower mah, rite?'..ok..yes. which is true. I really want to have a flower since more than 3 years i didn't get a flower. than i ask " why u send me red rose, you know i like white rose rite?" hubby " no choice bah fei mui, i wait there so long, they told me got new flower, but i really can't wait. so i just ask them to send lah..."...okok...i know he is so busy lah. i ask" why you send 9 rose only? why not 1 dozen leh"? hubby answer" 9 rose is chang chang jiu jiu (mean forever)....okok...my last question is " HOW MUCH" hahha...my colleague keep laughing and say I'm not romantic enough.....Guess what hubby answer? he say " so expensive o.., we can buy buffet dinner with Daniel o...."

After married for seven years.we don't feel want to be Romantic anymore, unlike other young couple,celebrate valentine with candle dinner, got so many anniversary. hubby always mention " romantic= MONEY" no MONEY no romantic. Which is true.

We having our Christmas eve dinner at Warisan Korean Food. Is our first try to this Korean restaurant. As Many Korean restaurant, these restaurant operate by a Korean couple, which migrate to Sabah less than a year.

Research shown that about 1,500 Korean family stay at Sabah. U can find a Korean Restaurant around KK, Korean Karaoke, Korean Class and etc.......

when this little boy saw me in his classroom, he act so shy. Not call me mummy but just look at me. Teacher bring them to wash hand before sing a birthday song to Daniel.

Tonight, we try Ocean @ Grand Millennium (opposite CKS Supermarket). they serve Western Food with BIG portion.

Hubby choice Steak with Mushroom Sauce. Steak is quit juicy but mushroom source is not that nice. Maybe next time should just order the steak without any source. RM25++

Good bye my love....all this toys carry a special value and memory to me...very sad to let them go. However, due to dust and storage problem, I decided to donate it to The Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception [more commonly known as the "Blue Sisters"].

Initially, I have been thinking to sale it on net. On a 2nd thought, I can't give a value to this as this are invaluable to me.( Actually i guess no people will buy second hand toys also lah, somemore, that is Mr. Chia idea. recently he like to sales second hand handphone or golf set on net, you will be suprise, his business on net not bad also woh.) What if the new owner didn't take good care of them? Donating this to those unfortune one is the best choice, I am sure the kids will take good care of them.

I can imagine their smiles when they received the gift and this cannot be measured by dollar & cents. This probably suit the value...invaluable.

02/03/2009 - A special day for Daniel, first day schooling. I wake up early morning @ 6.30am to make sure everything are ok. I feel so excited .(looks like I am the one going to school). I wonder how my mum felt when I go to school. Of course i feel worry also when sending Daniel to school, afraid he will cry.for my knowledge, most of the kids when they first time go to school will normally cry. Luckily,Daniel not cry and feel so excited because a lot of " Ko Ko & J J" surrounding him.

I stay with Daniel in the class for only half an hour. Before class start at 8.30am, early birds gathered on the floor watching cartoon. Some students are quite moody,i guess due to Monday. Half an hour in the class, i was busy taking photos of Daniel , unfortunately, teacher inform that no photos of other kids allowed . Too bad.

On Valentine Day --

Guess what we do on Valentine Day..haha...we have steamboat at home. No candle light dinner, replaced by crystal light

Since we moved to Miri, quite frequent we having steamboat at home.

I still remember our first steamboat in Miri at a restaurant near home, Hubby was so disappointed due to no " cili padi" haha...

some more Daniel is less than 1 year old when we move to Miri, he keep crying when we have our steamboat dinner because no air-condition for him. I have to eat quickly and run to car for air-conditioned while waiting Hubby paying bill. Never return to that restaurant since than.

Day after Valentine Day --

Today, hubby suggest we go to Grand Palace Hotel to have high tea. I love having high tea at Grand Palace Hotel with their reasonable price & variety of food.

This year is our first time celebrating Valentines Day in Miri. As usual, no flower, no romantic or touching words from hubby. Last time when we are still BF & GF, he use to give me card or present, say some romantic or touching words. eg. I love you. Love you forever, Miss you, you are my sunshine and so on. After married, I have to say " I LOVE YOU" first than he will only reply " Me too" , SEE....that is a different between BF and hubby.

I get jealous when both my sisters received flower from their BF. some more MMS me their flowers. hah..apa lagi, I keep making noise to Thomas, I want flower. Know what he say" dear, Valentine flower is over price lah, can i give you when we go to Kundasang, same flower, cheaper and fresh". CELAKA...

My gosh, I put on weight again. I really need on diet lah. So eat Maggi Mee tonight.

Drink at Starbucks almost our weekly activities. Every time after shopping in Bintang Plaza, Thomas always suggest going to Starbucks. As usual, he order his favorite coffee, ice blended chocolate for me & plain water for Daniel, of course Daniel's plain water come with cheese Cake .

Recently i like to visit makanmaniacs.com. A blog introduce foods in Miri. After visited the blog, family Chia make a move to Citrus Cafe. Environment so good, Christmas feel quite strong even without big Christmas tree. I love their Christmas decoration with red, green & white balloons with ribbons.

Triple Decker Sandwish serve with fries and salad. Crispy and the sauce match so well. ( RM10.90)

Jumbo Chicken Burger serve with fries and Salad. Quite big portion for me. (RM11.50)

Second time, we order Lamb Chop serve with potatoes and vegie. I like the mint souce more than the meat....hehehe....

cornflakes cereal

chocolate

Rainbow Star(Optional topping)

Melt chocolate, Mix in cornflakes until evenly coated. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper,and put rainbow star on top. let cool.

Baked Pork Ribs

Ingredients:
soy sauce
garlic, chopped
Mix-Grill seasoning
pork ribs, cut into individual pieces (1.8 kg)

Directions:
combine soy sauce, garlic and Mix-Grill Seosoning in a large bowl. Drop pork ribs into mixture and mix until ribs are all well coated. Cover and allow to ribs to marinate in the refrigerator for 4 to 6 hours.
Preheat oven to 300 F. Take ribs out of the refrigerator and arrange them in a large baking dish, . Place in the middle of center of the oven and bake for 45 minutes.

I love the "Hong Kong Kai Lan" so much, very very very crunchy. Even the Hong Kong Choy Sum also tastes as good. "Wan Tan" noodles are famous for being as fine as silk, smooth and springy to the bite , Fish Skin also really Yummy - Wong Chi Kei（黃枝記)
Casa Real Hotel restaurant, will not try out this hotel restaurant if got choice...very expansive. But we don't have choice as second day of macau trip is a typhoon day.

Popular dessert in Macau. I love Portuguese-style egg tart-yummy, Pork Chop Bun-crispy outside and soft inside, it is available at almost all restaurants .Ginger Milk (薑汁撞奶)-very silky soft and fragrant, the best one is (義順牛奶公司) Yee Shun Milk Shop, at the central fountain, same row with Wong Chi Kei (黃枝記)

Hari Raya Activities

Finally, Starbuck open in Miri. First day of Raya, we have our drink In Starbuck, Bintang Plaza Miri. Daniel really enjoy the environment (sleep like a pig for 1 hour) and his private drink (plain water) with Cheese cake.

Second day of Raya, we bring Daniel to Miri Crocodile Farm. RM 10 entrance fee per adult. Daniel is very excited as this is his first time so close to wild animals (there is a mini zoo beside buaya).

Chicken tight

Sauce

1 teaspoon of salt

3 cloves garlic & chopped

2 teaspoon of soy sauce

1 teaspoon of Mix-Grill seasoning

1/3 teaspoon pepper

Direction

1.Combined all the sauce with chicken wing and put in the fridge overnight

2.Preheat oven to 200 degrees C for 20 min

3. Baked in the preheated over for 30 min.

This is the second time we went to "Cgs Vegetarian Cafe". The 1st time we went for dinner is just 2 days ago. That was Good Friday.

Very Yummy.......

Hubby and I love this "Rendang Lamb" so much. Really yummy and taste better than a real one. It only cost RM10.00

"Nestum Prawn"-- RM10.00 also. Nice and it will be better if they put more nestum.

"Kung Pau Sotong" cost RM7.00. Like real lah...

We like this vegetarian restaurant so much. It has a lot of varieties and taste good. Healthier meal. For sure we will go back often and not limited to Good Friday only.

Few days ago, hubby saw these restaurant advertisement from newspaper, so today we having breakfast at Centre point 2."Bei Fang Feng Wei" restaurant serve with pork, and chef came from China as claimed in newspaper......

I have ordered "pai kuat rameh" is really tasty. Is not easy to get a tasty food in Miri compared with my hometown. I guess they don't like hot & spicy, and salty. Unlike KK, any kedai you go to makan, u can get a nice chilli sauce, or Chilli Padi. But in Miri, hardly got nice chilli sauce nor chilli padi. Even in this restaurant, only got chilli oil, but better than nothing lah.....hehe......

" Beef remeh" ordered by Hubby.em...is tasteless. It cannot compare to KK's beef noodle or "ngiu Chap".

We actually want to order " Siau Lung Pau" but unfortunately" Habis Jual". So we try this " Chung yu peng"( Spring Onion Pan Cake). Again is no taste......

Good things is that when we ask for the bill, the cashier say that already paid by someone, and we don't know WHO......

It's Good Friday. Nothing happen as usual except hubby is not working today.

At night, Little Boy sleep very early (before 8 pm). Me and hubby is enjoying our good time watching TV, eating junk foods and drinking Cola....mmmm....yammi yammi....

Suddenly the current is not so stable and smell something burning. I continue enjoying my junk foods while hubby checking around for the smell. Finally, he found something wrong at the meter as the main fuse is "HOT" and the meter run like a Formula 1 (I wonder how much is this month's electricity bill...) .

He quickly called the landlord and make arrangement for technician to check tomorrow. Hubby keep checking the fuse at the following 15 minutes (...and I continue to do what I am doing...haha...). Suddenly he shout "SMOKE...SMOKE...", smoke coming out from the fuse.

No light, no current, whole house "Gelap"

Immediately we inform the landlord to call Bomba. Hubby suggest that we stay in hotel that night. I am not worry about the smoke but quite excited that can stay in hotel tonight...However, we have to wait for landlord as they are coming....At that time, next door show up and we shift Little Boy to next door (this guy still sleeping) while waiting for landlord.

First come Police car, here come the bomba

Landlord come after 15 minutes. We wait and wait...a police car came to see what happen...wait and wait again...a Bomba passed by at opposite street (seems like they are lost)...wait and wait (and call and call)...finally the Bomba came (same one we saw just now, confirm they are lost before)...5-6 fireman came in and check...and then SESCO Contractor came...first thing he ask "Why the police here, are they going to check???".

The contractor go to check the fuse and say "O...fuse bakar...biasalah.". WHAT?? That is serious lah, is that mean a lot of house are in danger?? If it happen in the midnight and everyone is sleeping...how?? If the Bomba also take their sweet time plus "lost", how??

The contractor change the fuse in 30 minutes, and everyone (police, fireman, mui-mui, hubbyand a lot of unknown people) stand there and wait and wait and wait...

We went back around 10PM after the show is over. I am so disappointed that hubby said hotel cancel.

I swear, nothing to do with me. HeeHeeHee....

General Housewife Life

yeah yeah....Happy 1st Anniversary for me as a full time General Housewife. Before that I am busy with my career...busy meeting target, prepare reports, customer appointments, entertain customers and so on. When I finished work, I become a good mom for my little boy and good wife for my hubby.

Since last March, I am full time General Housewife. At first, I feel so " SIOK", you can do what ever you like. No need to meet customers, no complaints, no meetings, no targets. I only need to take care little boy and husband. But this only last for few months, you know what i feel now??? Damm Bored to become a housewife.

Some of my friends really admire me can become full time housewife.YA! I think I will enjoy more if I have a maid to take care little boy and do housework, clean house and cook. Then my job is just shopping and " yam Cha" with friends, do facial, go to saloon and do some nail work.

But now, I have to do all housework, including cuci tandas, masak, cuci mangkuk, masak for little boy, mandi little boy and so on...a typical General Housewife job...

Dear my freind. Never think and plan to become housewife if you are having a good career. It will never be too late becoming a housewife after retirement, enjoy your career now.

Future Pro-Golfer part 2

Last Saturday suppose a happy day but turn out as a disaster for Little Boy. Early morning, Hubby and I bring Little Boy to Pasar and then to driving range. This is a first step to made train up Little Boy become future youngest PGA Golfer.

He is so active and excited in driving range. He putt and chase small white ball on the practice, laugh and fall on the grass. He look at hubby and other junior golfer (older than him of course) play golf, he will clap his hand when he saw the ball shot off the tee.

We went back happily after 1 hour, Little Boy slept for few hours. Haha...He is so tired after golf.....

After 1 hours.................................................................

2 hours..............................................................................

Little Baby wake up and I realised that his body got red red dots. I applied some Aloe Vera gel on the dots and think that it is nothing serious.....

At night me and hubby made Little Boy sleep and start enjoy our steam boat...Little Boy waked up again after 90 mins and we realised that something wrong, the red dots getting more and more. Then we remember hubby also get red dots (allergy) after he attended a company off-site in Melacca (also in a grass field).

Immediately we send Little Boy to Miri Centre Medical Centre and confirmed that is allergy and will take 3 - 4 days to heal.

Easy Baked Chicken Wings

Ingredients
5 Pieces Chicken Wing

Sauce
1 teaspoon of garlic salt
2 teaspoon of soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon of Mix-Grill seasoning
1/3 teaspoon pepper

Direction
1.Combined all the sauce with chicken wing and put in the fridge for 6 hours
2.Preheat oven to 175 degrees C for 10 min
3. Baked in the preheated over for 40 min.

Little Baby is getting more and more violence nowadays...beside a "Mouse Killer" and before he grow taller to reach the mouse without tail...he has shift his attention to the warrior of ancient war...THE SPARTANS...

He started to sharpen his weapon before show up of his enemy...his "Evil Parents" taking him to bed...

This is the weapon made with latest technology...a spear and a shield...

The best defence is to attack, hence that's the spear for and the shield....hmmmmmm....to protect his tummy from my evil hand....woooooooo.......

New Toys for Little Boy

Little Baby born as a mouse killer and kill mouse like nobody business. I don't know why he get excited when he see me and his dad use the mouse.

He have killed 2 mouse recently , 1 black and 1 white with long long tails. I believe that he may feel proud of himself. (Now the mouse become his new toys)

However, there is a mouse with no tail appear in my house and we always let the mouse climb very high that little Boy can't touch. But I believe Little boy will reach it as he grow taller and will add one more mouse for his collection. But i will try my best to protect New Mouse.......Hope it will last long.

Mushroom with chicken feet.

Mushroom with chicken feet

Ingredients

60g Dried Chinese mushrooms
10 Chicken feet
3 Clove Garlic
1/3 Cup Dark soy sauce
2/3 Cup Water
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
Oil

Method:
* Wash the dried Chinese mushroom and soak with a little salt for 40 min.
* Squeeze out the excess water .
* Add the chicken feet in boiling water for 5 minutes.
* Heat oil and fry garlic until fragrant.
* Add the chicken feet and stir fry.
* Mix in the mushroom
* put the Dark soy sauce and water

cook til the chicken feet become soft and add salt.

Little Boy

Little Boy is 17 months now. I still remember the first time I saw Little boy in SMC, he is just a little baby yet he is so cute with chubby face. But after 16 months, he is still chubby but with Naughty look. OH MY GOD.......

Little Boy is our first kid, hubby and I love him very much. We laugh when he is laughing and sad when he is sick. Little Boy are so manja with me and his dad. He Kiss and hug us for nothing. He will Kiss you whenever he likes or show his naughty face when he is not happy. He is not only my first kid, but also first grandson for my family. All my family member love him so much and give whatever he want, as long as he is not crying.
